Where to Eat... |

Breakfast |
We had an early start at around 7am and we went to a known place called The Broken Yolk Café. Its right at 355 6th Avenue and from what we heard, it has been around since 1979. Nothing beats a hearty breakfast with a whole bunch of home cooked meals to choose from. They have an impressive delectable menu of omelets, hamburgers, sandwiches and salads and of course, I had to settle my craving for a serving of Monte Cristo while my sister indulged in a plate of French toast with bacon. And by the way, you can create your own omelet too- just the way your craving dictates you to! Hey, I won’t complain about their “Best Breakfast” award, this place is heaven. |
Lunch |
At 4545 La Jolla Village Drive, Kebab Café greeted us with a big smile. We can’t deny we love our Greek fix and so we decided to come by this restaurant for lunch. Of all the possible restaurants in San Diego, we opened our taste buds to taste a heavenly cuisine from the Greeks. The Shawarma combo is impeccable. The taste of thin slices of tender beef just swims in your mouth with what was called a tzitziki sauce. I don’t know how they do it but the combination of garlic and fresh mint in this plate is just incredible. Not to mention the gyros meal that the other table ordered -divine. |
Dinner |
I remember one friend from college recommended me a great Spanish restaurant in the name of Café Sevilla. Just in the Gaslamp neighborhood, we searched 555 4th Avenue and found this restaurant with alluring Spanish ambiance. The crowd was very energetic since the restaurant is near to the bar wherein live music was playing. With our newfound love for Spanish food and Flamenco music, we just enjoyed that heavenly seafood crepe and that mojitos that just makes the night even more fabulous. |

Morning |
Borders Bookstore was just around the corner at 668 6th Avenue in the heart of downtown San Diego so we opted to pay a quick visit. It’s a perfect two-story architecture that just boasts art at its finest with some artworks on display proudly created by amazing local artists. It’s like a haven for the history buffs and fanatics of books, magazines and surprisingly of DVD’s and compact discs. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better than this, one friendly staff even invited us to get some beverage. She even mentioned that on Sunday’s, there’s a fun filled story time for the kids! I can’t help but be excited to bring my very cute niece here. |
Afternoon |
Even with a handful of things to do in San Diego, we knew then that we need some girl time in a nearby salon and spa. And there, at 4150 Regents Park Row in La Jolla, we made it sure to get a hold of the services of the Elias Salon and Spa. Their full body massage costing a reasonable amount of $90 is just an hour long treatment I wanted for my body filled with stress. It is just the perfect afternoon for the two of us. |
